What is the abominating of Distillation?

Jesus said in Matthew 24 verse 15 that when you see this all of you in Judaea must flee quickly.

Matt: 15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

Matt: 16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

I want to address to parts in this scripture, first of all the desolation, spoken of by Daniel. Now we know That Jesus was speaking of the antichrist here. The desolation that he will commit is when the temple is built he will stand therein and declare himself god or messiah. This is the abomination of desolation.

Then Jesus also says that those that are in Judaea. Now Judaea is now referred to as the west bank. In 2005 Ariel Sharon the prim Minster of Israel gave the west bank to the Palestinians. Israel is now erecting a wall to keep the Palestinians out of Israel and the west bank is going to be out side the wall. Now there are still a lot of Israelis still in the west bank and they will not have any protection from any one that will want to hurt them.

Will the Church go thought the tribulation?




Now this is a dangerous one to bring up! But I am concerned not so much with the timing of the Rapture here - but rather with the cheapness of it. Do I believe in a ‘Rapture’? -Yes, I do believe in a great “catching away” (as the Bible describes it). But again, we have so degraded it in the West that it just becomes one more source of false comfort and cheap grace. This time to escape to heaven without a scratch before any persecution or tribulation begins. Once again - so easy and convenient and ear tickling!

          We are led to believe that our rich, fat-cat Western Christians with their false salvation and their no need for holiness doctrines will one day be flying in their jet airplanes and ‘Woosh!’ - suddenly they will be gone. -‘Raptured’. Just in time to escape any bad things happening on the earth.

         There are entire industries and multi-million-dollar ministries built on this whole assumption. The “no cost” Rapture theory. How wonderfully it tickles Western ears! How we rush to buy the latest Best-seller that promotes and tells us of this version of the end times and gives comfort to our flesh!

          But wait a minute. Wasn't it Jesus (talking about the ‘time of the  end’) who told his disciples, “All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.”? (Matthew 24:8-9). How is it then, that we are taught a ‘Rapture’ theory today in which we are “caught up” without any major tribulation or persecution? Jesus; in the above passage clearly tells his disciples - His true followers - that they MUST expect great tribulation and persecution before the end, not an easy escape without having to experience any tribulation.

           It is very obvious from all the New Testament writings that Christians must go through persecution, sufferings and tribulations - and that this will get much worse in the end-times. There is never a hint that we should expect to be ‘Raptured’ without going through this.  But again, the Western doctrine preaches comfort, safety and convenience - a kind of “cheap way out”.

           Why is this such a serious issue? A people who have been told again and again that God will “rescue” them before the real trouble starts are the most ill-prepared people to face real tribulation or persecution. The people who are most prepared are those who have looked the danger in the eye, and prepared their hearts to go through it. With our false comfort we are doing the worst job in the world of preparing our people for what is to come. And in reality, to some degree this particular doctrine has already been put into question by the event of 9/11 and the natural disasters of 2004-5 in different parts of the world, including the United States . Many have and already are facing great tribulation in their lives with tremendous disasters causing loss of loved ones, jobs, homes, even churches and much more. 

In other parts of the world many Christians are being physically persecuted, jailed, beaten and even killed for their faith in Christ and that is not in just one or two countries, but many from most Arab nations, China, Indonesia and others where there is no freedom of religion, at least not to be a Christian and many countries are passing non-conversion laws to make it illegal for anyone to be converted from whatever they are, Hinduism to Islam, to Christianity. It is a crime both for the one who is giving them the gospel and for the one who believes and accepts the gospel, who can now we persecuted and even killed for having become a Christian. So to whom or what part of the world does this easy escapism doctrine apply? Who gets the benefit of such an escape from reality, a just in time escape from trial and tribulation, just some special ones in the Western world who believe this doctrine? Have some who believed this doctrine already faced such horrible disasters and circumstances to bring this doctrine into question?

Right now as I am righting this Israel is erecting a wall to keep out the enemy of God chosen people and Christians (Islam). This wall will exclude what is called in Matthew by Jesus chapter 24:16 as Judea. (This is now called the West Bank) There are many Jews still living in this area now once the wall is complete the Jews in this area will be left outside of the Governments of Israel protection. Now Jesus said for when you see "Abominating of Distillation" spoken of by Daniel you are to flee. (Dan Ch 9)

If this is the begging of wows (Tribulation) and he is saying for them His chosen people to run then that tells us that there has not and not going to be a Rapture in this time period. As a matter of a fact from what studies I have done that the Rapture won't be until just before the Battle of Armageddon. Then we will be changed in a twinkling of an eye and go to meet Him in the sky. Revelations calls this the first Resurrection. (Rev Ch 20:5)
