Surrendering To God
A Little About Me

My name is
Nancy Burr and
I live in London, Ontario, Canada. I have a wonderful husband, Darin
and 3 children, Jordan, 15, Aleisha, 13 and Stephanie, 10. I
am a stay
at home Mom and keep very busy raising my children. I started writing
poetry 5 years ago. I also write children's poetry and have added the
Christian ones to this site. The rest of my kid's poems can be found at Poetic Verses For Children. If you enjoy kids poems you're welcome to visit it. I also created a family website called *Burr Family Website
for our family and friends to visit. We have family &
friends scattered all over Canada so we thought it would be a good way
to let them know what we're up to. My latest project has been
creating a business website for my parents ribbon business. If you'd
like to see what they do to keep themselves busy (it's kind of neat)
visit Creations In Ribbon.
*Parts of Burr Family Website are password protected. If you are family or friends however just email us and we'll send you the username and password.
I love the Lord and love writing poems for Him. I feel so blessed and
honoured to be able to express my love for the Lord in poetry. I do
struggle though and many of my poems exress my struggles. (The
challenges of parenting plus I have a medical condition called
Fibromyalgia and I am in pain quite often.) No matter
what comes my way
though I am learning to "Trust in the Lord with all my heart." He helps
me through each day.

I'm A Child Of God Hi! My name is Nancy and I’d like to tell you, a little about me and what I like to do. I’m a wife and a mother a sister and friend, A daughter and aunt but that’s not the end. I’m a niece and a cousin and a volunteer, and right now my family is my career. I feel so blessed to be given so much, but the best gift I have is to feel the Lord’s touch

I’m a child of God; that’s who I am, and each day I shout, “Worthy is the lamb!” As a young child I asked Jesus in and I know he came in and cleansed me from sin. He is my Savior, Redeemer and friend, and I know He’ll be with me right to the end. He is my comforter, my strength and my hope, no matter the trial He helps me cope.

In ‘88 I became Darin’s wife, we said, “I do” and began our new life. We have 3 children, two girls and a boy, all three of them are my pride and joy. Jordan came first back in ’91, in ’93 came Aleisha, our second one. Stephanie arrived in late ’95, and that brought our family up to 5.

We’ve lived many places in our 16 years, and some of those moves brought many tears. We’ve been living in London since ’99, and to be honest we all like it just fine. The kids are adjusted and like being here, so we’re hoping that God keeps us here year after year. But with Darin’s job we never do know, just when we may have to pack up and go.

I’m a stay at home mom and enjoy it most days, the kids seem to keep me busy always. But I’m also home cause I struggle with pain, I have Fibromyalgia and it’s quite a strain. Depression can find me and knock me down, and all my frustration leaves me with a frown. But on those dark days when nothing is bright, I hold on to Jesus and he makes things right.
Writing poems is what I love to do, then when they’re finished I’ll share them with you. ‘Surrendering To God’ is a web site I made, there you can find all my poems displayed. Well that’s about all there is to tell you, about my life and what I like to do. My life is not perfect, I know I am flawed, but I’m just so thankful I’m a child of God.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your path straight.
